 Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day to all the veterans out there in blogstream land. Who knows where this country would be without all of the brave solders who gave their lives to protect us, and lets not forget all the men and women who are in Iraq right now and in Afghanistan trying to stop the terrorist threat. Let's all hope our boys come home from Iraq soon and can reunite with their families here in the U.S.A. And lets give a big
to Georgie Porgie Bush for sending them to Iraq for no reason and putting thousands of people's lives in danger as well as all of ours back here at home. Send the troops to Pakistan and get Bin Laden out of there!

 jokes

A man walked into work on Monday with two black eyes. His boss asked what happened.

The man said, "I was sitting behind a big woman at church. When we stood up to sing hymns, I noticed that her dress was caught in her crack, so I pulled it out. She turned around and punched me square in the eye."

"Where did you get the other shiner?" the boss asked.

"Well," the man said, "I figured she didn't want it out, so I pushed it back in."

A woman accompanied her husband to the doctor's office. After his check-up, the doctor called the wife into his office alone.
He said, "Your husband is suffering from a very severe disease, combined with horrible stress. If you don't do the following, your husband will surely die.

"Each morning, fix him a healthy breakfast. Be pleasant, and make sure he is in a good mood. For lunch make him a nutritious meal. For dinner prepare an especially nice meal for him. Don't burden him with chores, as he probably had a hard day. Don't discuss your problems with him, it will only make his stress worse.
And most importantly. make love with your husband several times a week and satisfy his every whim. If you can do this for the next 10 months to a year, I think your husband will regain his health completely."

On the way home, the husband asked his wife what the doctor said to her.

She thought a second, and then replied, "You're going to die."

An Amish boy was driving his horse-drawn buggy to town when he was stopped by a highway patrol officer.

"I'm not going to cite you," said the officer, "I just wanted to warn you that the reflector on the back of your buggy is broken and it could be dangerous."

"I thank thee," said the Amish boy, "I shall have my father repair it as soon as I return home."

"Also," said the officer, "I noticed that one of the reins to your horse is tied around your horse's testicles. Some might consider this to be 'cruelty to animals' so you'd best have your father check this, too."

"Again I thank thee," said the Amish boy, "I shall have my father check this also when I return home."

True to his word, when the Amish boy got home he told his father about the broken reflector and his father said that he would repair it immediately.

"Also," said the Amish boy, "the policeman said that there was something wrong with our emergency brake."

 NO FUN ALLOWED!!!!!!

(article below my rant)

Just another example of what happens when you let the conservatives run the school systems and the world, a world where no one can have any freedom. You must do what's appropriate and correct and if you dare step outside of the box shame on you. This teacher did nothing wrong...there was nothing sexual about the contest she and her husband entered into, she wore a bikini, and said that she loves her husband despite the fact he's not very good looking, oh my god! Burn her alive this cannot be in a civilized society, its not like she had sex in an airport bathroom or gave away CIA secrets or is responsible for the deaths of thousands. No, only republicans are allowed to do that. The Stern Show is not on open air, it's a paid service, along with Howard TV if not for local media no one would have ever known. Besides there was nothing inappropriate done, i heard it myself and wouldn't have been upset if I found out that was Alyssa's teacher. The article says because of the nature of the show she was fired, sounds to me no one heard it they just hear the name Howard Stern and automatically deem it inappropriate. Tobey Maguire has been on Stern 3 times so ban Spiderman, Gilbert Gottfried is on monthly and he voices many cartoons, Julia Roberts has been on, Anthony Hopkins, Stevie Wonder, Ryan Phillipe, Barbara Walters has been on twice recently, so why can't Marie Jarry. A knee jerk reaction by an ultra conservative society.

A Southington teacher who appeared on the Howard Stern Show no longer has a job at Thalberg Elementary School.

Second-grade teacher Marie Jarry took part in an Ugliest Guy and Hottest Wife contest on Stern's show. She and her husband won $5,000.

"I can't believe she would go on TV and do that when she is a second-grade teacher," said parent Dean LaPoint. "It just doesn't make sense."

The school replaced Jarry after pictures of her in a bikini appeared on HowardStern.com.

The Jarrys competed against two other couples and during the contest, Marie made sexual comments about her husband.

"They work hard during the school day and what they do on their own time is their business, but because of the nature of the Howard Stern show, the board was concerned," said Liz Francis, parent of a Thalberg Elementary School student.

Eyewitness News reporter Erika Arias talked to one parent who said that Jarry was told to resign.

The Southington School wouldn't say whether Jarry was forced out.

Jarry did not return calls seeking comment.

I gotta admit it doesn't look to good when people in the Mid-Atlantic states aren't voting for Obama at all. Hillary has had two lopsided wins in West Virgina and Kentucky, and it makes me wonder what's going to happen when it's McCain vs. Obama. It doesn't seem like Clinton is going to back out tho and I believe she may have or is very close to leading in the popular vote while Obama leads in the delegate count. I don't know why these two just don't get together and make a joint ticket with him as President and her as VP, but I think they both want it too bad for either to end up as VP. If she stays in the race till the end and has more of a popular vote she'll have that to help convince the superdelegates to give her the nomination, altho Obama is now less than 100 delegates away from securing the nomination. I'll have to look up where the rest of the primaries are cuz I'm not sure off the top of my head. Well I gotta get to work at some point and I'm in the middle of making Alyssa's lunch so later.
