I'm putting up another tribute, this one to Layne Staley of the Seattle grunge/alternative band Alice In Chains. Altho according to the coroner his actual death was on April 5, he wasn't found until the 20th (much like Cobain who died on the 5th and found on the 8th). Layne had a very unique voice and along with bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam he spoke directly to Gen Xers. Layne died of an apparent drug overdose, he was 34.
I've had alot of pics on my phone that I've wanted to get onto the computer but I couldn't find the vehicle for my mini-sd card in the phone. Finally this morning Heather found it, so here's some pics from St.Patty's Day all the way to 2 days ago.

Dear Friends and Fans:
LIke most of you, I've been following the campaign and I have now seen and heard enough to know where I stand. Senator Obama, in my view, is head and shoulders above the rest.
He has the depth, the reflectiveness, and the resilience to be our next President. He speaks to the America I've envisioned in my music for the past 35 years, a generous nation with a citizenry willing to tackle nuanced and complex problems, a country that's interested in its collective destiny and in the potential of its gathered spirit. A place where "...nobody crowds you, and nobody goes it alone."
At the moment, critics have tried to diminish Senator Obama through the exaggeration of certain of his comments and relationships. While these matters are worthy of some discussion, they have been ripped out of the context and fabric of the man's life and vision, so well described in his excellent book, Dreams of My Father, often in order to distract us from discussing the real issues: war and peace, the fight for economic and racial justice, reaffirming our Constitution, and the protection and enhancement of our environment.
After the terrible damage done over the past eight years, a great American reclamation project needs to be undertaken. I believe that Senator Obama is the best candidate to lead that project and to lead us into the 21st Century with a renewed sense of moral purpose and of ourselves as Americans.
Over here on E Street, we're proud to support Obama for President.
What are people thinking these days, check out this news report from a local station about some bad babysitters in Hamden, CT
Hamden (WTNH) _ A brother and sister face multiple charges in connection with dehydration death of a 23-month-old toddler who was being punished for wetting the bed, police said.
Sharon Patterson, 39, and her brother Robert Patterson, 31, are expected to be arraigned today in the death of Amari Jackson.
Amari Jackson was dropped off by his mother at a Putnam Avenue apartment in Hamden, apparently for a play date. But he stayed for two weeks and police say Sharon Patterson began using some questionable and cruel babysitting tactics -- not allowing him to drink any liquids.
"Part of the deprivation was that Sharon Patterson laced drinking glasses throughout the house with some form of hot sauce so Amari wouldn't drink," Capt. Ronald Smith of the Hamden Police Department said.
This continued for at least a week to ten days.
"The reason he was deprived was a form of punishment because he was urinating in the bed," Capt. Smith said.
Jackson was in full cardiac arrest when he was taken to the hospital where he died.
Patterson is now facing manslaughter and cruelty to persons charges. Her brother Robert, who lived in the home, was also arrested. Police say he knew what was happening and did nothing to stop it.
"This child was 23 months old, a defense-less child and he died," Capt. Smith said.
Another child in the home, a five-year-old, was removed by DCF back in February.
Jackson's mother is not facing charges at this time.
I will never understand how a person can sit there and watch a child die like that, ya know I may be a democrat but there are a lot of issues I'm pretty conservative about and capital punishment is one of them. Actually, I'm for cruel and unusual punishment when it comes to things like this...this kid died a slow and painful death and obviously these two morons who killed him didn't care what kind of agony the child was in. When it comes to crimes against children and animals I have no mercy for the offender, this kid was completely defenseless.
In other what the hell news, according to the mall walkers at the Holyoke Mall in Massachusetts I am a terrorist. I was doing a service call at a Gap store and had to go to the truck to get my ladder, I left my tool pouch outside the store under the sign but tucked off to the side so it wouldn't be in anyone's way. Returning about 5mins later with my ladder I found security looking down at the bag along with a few old ladies, these women saw the pouch and reported it to mall security as a suspicious package and they were pretty sure it was a bomb. The zipper was open a little bit and I guess some extra wire that I keep in there was showing and the mall walkers freaked out, luckily for me the local authorities were not called and when I returned to the store and opened the bag one of the women jumped, I guess expecting a major explosion. This is how crazy Bin Laden has made our country and while we're wasting 3 billion dollars and all of our troops in Iraq trying to establish a government he's still roaming free in Pakistan and making more threats to our country.
well, that's all for now, I'm off today so I may post again later
