 Racist

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not a racist, I believe in equal rights for all...think about that EQUAL rights for ALL. Which is why I had to pass this on because it seems in todays society people who are proud to be White Americans are considered racist, I guess we get a bad name because of the KKK and Neo-Nazi's. I hate the KKK. But unfortunately anytime someone says 'I have white pride' this is all people can picture is burning crosses and lynchings and such. I support all races to succeed in the USA, hell I voted for an African-American over a white woman to be President. I think O.J is guilty and not because he's black and his wife was white, I'm not against mixed-marriage...my mother is Catholic and my father is Jewish (is this considered mixed marriage tho). Really we're all humans but I don't see the day coming when we'll march together in human pride...which really is sad.

There is no need for 'affirmative action', people shouldn't get jobs or get into schools based on race alone and I'd be embarrassed to be accepted to something based only on my race. One would think that in the year 2008 we could be past all of this, we're supposed to be a civilized group but still we only see each other as what color we are and what color everyone else is. I am proud to be an American altho I'm not always proud to be white, we do alot of shitty stuff to the other races as they do shitty stuff to us. There are alot of people who claim to be proud of their race then do things to make it look bad, like the KKK they make white people look like racist rednecks and go to the local ghetto and look at the black kids with their pants around their knees and do-rags and speaking 'ebonics', then they claim they are proud to be black...how can that be, when you are doing all you can to create a stereotype?

America is being attacked on all sides by terrorists, why can't we stop worrying about what other races in our own country are doing or saying about us and stop being Asian Americans, African Americans, Latin Americans and just be Americans and show some damn pride. White trash constantly blaming blacks for all the countries crime problems, while they are beating their wives and selling drugs as well, maybe my sister can help me with who said this but I'll close with "let he without sin cast the first stone"

 Bitter Americans

TERRE HAUTE, INDIANA – At a town hall meeting in Indiana, U.S.

Senator Barack Obama made the following comments in response to the Clinton and McCain campaign’s attacks:

“When I go around and I talk to people there is frustration and there is anger and there is bitterness. And what’s worse is when people are expressing their anger then politicians try to say what are you angry about? This just happened – I want to make a point here today.

“I was in San Francisco talking to a group at a fundraiser and somebody asked how’re you going to get votes in Pennsylvania? What’s going on there? We hear that’s its hard for some working class people to get behind you’re campaign. I said, “Well look, they’re frustrated and for good reason. Because for the last 25 years they’ve seen jobs shipped overseas. They’ve seen their economies collapse. They have lost their jobs. They have lost their pensions. They have lost their healthcare.

“And for 25, 30 years Democrats and Republicans have come before them and said we’re going to make your community better. We’re going to make it right and nothing ever happens. And of course they’re bitter. Of course they’re frustrated. You would be too. In fact many of you are. Because the same thing has happened here in Indiana. The same thing happened across the border in Decatur. The same thing has happened all across the country. Nobody is looking out for you. Nobody is thinking about you. And so people end up- they don’t vote on economic issues because they don’t expect anybody’s going to help them. So people end up, you know, voting on issues like guns, and are they going to have the right to bear arms. They vote on issues like gay marriage. And they take refuge in their faith and their community and their families and things they can count on. But they don’t believe they can count on Washington. So I made this statement-- so, here’s what rich. Senator Clinton says ‘No, I don’t think that people are bitter in Pennsylvania. You know, I think Barack’s being condescending.’ John McCain says, ‘Oh, how could he say that? How could he say people are bitter? You know, he’s obviously out of touch with people.

“Out of touch? Out of touch? I mean, John McCain—it took him three tries to finally figure out that the home foreclosure crisis was a problem and to come up with a plan for it, and he’s saying I’m out of touch? Senator Clinton voted for a credit card-sponsored bankruptcy bill that made it harder for people to get out of debt after taking money from the financial services companies, and she says I’m out of touch? No, I’m in touch. I know exactly what’s going on. I know what’s going on in Pennsylvania. I know what’s going on in Indiana. I know what’s going on in Illinois. People are fed-up. They’re angry and they’re frustrated and they’re bitter. And they want to see a change in Washington and that’s why I’m running for President of the United States of America." - Barack Obama

Barack is right, America is bitter, the middle class which runs this country is struggling...whether the GOP wants to admit it or not it's the working class that makes us run and keeps us going, not Big Oil and insurance companies. The unions have been ravaged by Bush and his economic blunders, one of the biggest unions in the country The Teamsters support Barack Obama for President, why? Because he understands what's happening, when a trucker has to pay $800 to fill his tank to get food to the markets, all prices must go up to be able to pay for fuel. Flour is at an all time high! Flour! and milk...so with the price of the basics to feed a family rising I guess all Bush can say is "let them eat cake". The country is bitter and no one trusts the government anymore, how can we? The sad part is even if Obama gets into office his administration will be known for good intentions only, it's going to take at least 4-5 years of good leadership to bring this country back to where it was when Clinton left office. Bush had high ratings his first year in office and into his second and why, because it takes a while to ruin what a good President has done, it took him less than a full term to start demolishing the economy and unfortunately it's going to take alot longer to fix what a bad President has done. If Obama can get two terms I do believe he's the answer to our problems, I don't think any candidate right now can have such a great 4 year plan, but with Obama we can build to the future, because he's looking to re-build the working class and help the small businesses that keep America strong. And I know that spending 3 billion dollars a month in Iraq until God knows when will not help the situation, we've been attempting to help them for too long now it's time to help ourselves.

i hope pearl jam plays this when i see them Bu$h Leaguer

 A few days ago

There was an important anniversary a few days ago on the 5th of April, I usually make note of it on the 8th tho. It may not be very important to all of you out there but it's the day 'grunge' music died... when Kurt Donald Cobain shot himself. I note it on the 8th because that's the day he was found by an electrician coming to do work in the house. Nirvana was a HUGE influence on me as I was ending middle school and starting high school, they were probably a bigger band to me than even Pearl Jam. I always identified with Kurt, I was picked on alot in middle school which is why i went to high school in a different city and something about his lyrics just grabbed me... angst, awkwardness, hating the 'cool' kids. They didn't play 'goth' music but as far as I'm concerned started the genre by lashing out at the 'cool' people and those who looked down on the kids who were different. So 14 years later I still say Nirvana is the most influential band of the '90's and maybe one of the best of all time, the guitar is usually simple, the lyrics hard to understand as Kurt usually mumbled or screamed but it grabbed a generation known as X by the horns and didn't let go as all this time after his death his words still ring true.

(AP) A would-be bank robber came away empty-handed, but left behind something useful for police _ her photo identification. Police Commissioner William Dwyer said the woman was arrested on an attempted armed robbery charge less than an hour later.

Dwyer told The Detroit News that the woman filled out an account application Thursday morning, then pulled a handgun and demanded cash. But she panicked and fled without getting any money. Police found an address on the account application, along with her photo ID.

The address was for an apartment near the bank. The manager gave her new address to police, who arrested her without incident.

Police had no records Thursday indicating whether the woman had an attorney.

(AP) Police are searching for a man accused of shoving an electric guitar in his pants and walking out of a store in Lewiston, Maine.

Police say the theft occurred last week and they're looking for three men. One of the men shoved a Fender Stratocaster in his pants and pulled a sweatshirt over the top. The other two acted as lookouts.

All three can be seen on footage from video surveillance.

Strangely enough, the music shop has seen the method before. A man did the same thing in 2006 but was caught as he tried to walk out.

(AP) A court has issued what could be at least a local first: an order of protection for a duck.

A Suffolk County judge approved the measure Thursday, telling a man accused of shooting a family's pet duck to stay away from the bird and her owners.

Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Chief Roy Gross says he can't recall a previous court case involving cruelty to a duck.

Owner Janet Lippincott says a group of young people bounded over her backyard fence and swarmed the yellow-billed Peking duck with pellet guns on March 17. The bird, named Circles, has recovered after a bullet pierced her voice box.

The 21-year-old suspect pleaded not guilty Thursday to felony animal cruelty charges.
