well here it is Dec 13 and our first significant snow here on the shore.




I just moved our cars because there is a parking ban even tho they are never enforced I'd still rather move the cars and get it over with. So maybe there will be some snow on the ground for Christmas, it's supposed to be very cold next week and there is some more coming saturday night into Sunday morning. so winter is here in New England....yah

Well 23 months for Michael Vick. Honestly I think the punishment for animal cruelty should be greater but at least he got something. O.J. killed two people and he got away with it, so it's good to some celebrities being brought to justice after that. Well not only is Vick in prison but he's also broke, here's a clip from CNN.com on his financial problems.

"Prosecutors also have disclosed the extent of Vick's financial ruin. According to court documents, the Atlanta Falcons are attempting to recoup bonus money from his 10-year, $130 million football contract, Vick is in default on a $1.3 million bank loan for a wine store, and two other banks have filed suits seeking repayment of a $4.5 million in loans and lines of credit."

It's good to know his life is now ruined, no NFL team will take him after he gets out, he's going to be marked his whole life and will go back to living in the ghetto in Newport News, Virginia...justice is served. Hopefully this will be a warning to all the scumbags out there that are involved in dog fighting, and one can only hope that Vick gets shanked in prison or repeatedly beat on like on of his dogs.

so my sister got me going on this issue of circumcision and how it's unnecessary in today's society. First of all not cutting is becoming the norm and a kid with an "anteater" will not be the only one in the locker room with this anymore. Also it's is totally a cosmetic procedure and has nothing to do with the health of the child or his future partners. I've been told that having a foreskin can increase my partners chance of getting cervical cancer, this is not true. What is true is that because the foreskin makes for a nice living area for some bacteria and viruses it's easier to pick up std's like HPV which causes cervical cancer. So if I've had one partner my whole life and she's had one partner and doesn't have HPV how is she at greater risk for cancer because of a little piece of skin? She's not. Also I've heard it will get infected, this is also silly, in 28 years I've never had any kind of problem and I can recall a time in the summer when I was a young one of about 8 or so not bathing for almost a whole month, I'd do a quick clean up of my face and arms and wet my hair down and say I bathed when I didn't (why do little boys hate cleaning so much?) I did get an infection on my arm tho (ring worm) but no where else. So there is my rant on that, it's a dumb procedure and is totally not needed.
