So we went to see the doctor yesterday and set up a day to be induced, it will be Tuesday the 27th. Altho after doing an exam he said she could go before that, she was 2 centimeters and 50% thinned out, so if we make it to Tuesday it shouldn't take as long as it did with Alyssa. So we'll let you all know what happens Tuesday, unless something happens before that.

okay i've been getting alot of questions about the arrival of Devin lately and some bad information has been going around so i gotta clear everything up here. so as you all know we went for the ultrasound the other day and they estimated Devin's weight as 7lbs 9oz, originally i had thought he'll only gain an ounce a week...but it's actually a 1/2 pound a week and for those who don't know Alyssa was 7lbs 10oz and had to be 'guided' as Dr.Fanning says with forceps, so they want to induce labor before he goes full term and ends up being over 8lbs. when we saw Dr.Fanning on saturday he said next week Dr.Pascirillio (sp) would set up the appointment for us because Jamie didn't want to set it up to early, he said Devin had to be at least 38 weeks for it to be totally safe to set up induction. He'll be 38 weeks the day after Thanksgiving...hence that is the date we will find out the day of birth, best estimate is about the 30th (the Friday after next)which will still have him coming a week early and hopefully the same weight Alyssa was. Now, as far as C-Sections go, they are fully prepared for the high chance of needing one to be done, but are not doing it unless 100% necessary. Alyssa was almost taken this way because of complications during birth, after getting stuck in the birth canal her heart rate dropped and Heather was rushed to a 'clean room' they prepped for surgery and called in Dr.Denahey but Jamie was able to get her out with the forceps. They don't want to have to go thru this again, it's a risky situation for both mother and childs life, and after pulling out Alyssa, Heather's uterus turned inside out. so this is why the doctors are preparing to do surgery if needed. so that's all, i'll update everyone first word friday, scouts honor.

so Christmas is on it's way, it's my favorite holiday, all the lights and cold weather and i don't even mind shopping. so i was looking for a good christmas song to get everyone in the mood for the holidays, look no further than my favorite radio show The Howard Stern Show. Howard's sidekick Artie Lange is a big paezan who like all good italian boys loves just 2 things, his mom and his mom's cooking. so to the tune of 'jingle bell rock' here is Artie and his mother singing "Mozzarella Balls" a song about all of his favorite italian foods.

hello to all of my avid readers, i know i've been taking the easy way out lately with the caption game and the Obama promotional video, but there's not much really going on lately. Altho..............yesterday.........we had an ultrasound to get an idea of how much little Devin weighs, and right now 3 weeks before due date he is about 7lbs. 9 oz! Alyssa came in at 7lbs. 10oz at birth and the tech said they gain an average of about 1/2 an oz a week, so in 3 weeks (i'll do the math here) he'll weigh about ......13lbs!! wait no 7lbs 11oz. so we see Dr.Fanning on Saturday and we'll get together and figure out what we're gonna do about this. Alyssa had to be taken out with forceps and he doesn't want to go thru that again (it can be harmful, grabbing a baby's head with salad tongs and pulling), so they may go in there and take him out themselves, so we'll come up with a date on that. I'd rather Dev be born in November tho for some reason, probably the earliest they'll do it is the 28th. They gave us 2 pictures one of his heart and the other of his penis, so we know all the important stuff in working. I noticed when she first went to look at him, his penis was the first thing she checked and heart the second, i guess knowing it's a boy in there no need to look at the big brain as long as his little one is there. and for my readers that don't care about this here's a video of an elephant eating poop out of another elephant (I've watched this over and over)
