This morning Harley decided she had to get up higher than she has before. She often like to walk on top of the mantle, on the entertainment center and this morning she decided to get on top of a door, unfortunately she got a little stuck and couldn't figure out how to get back down. I had to move a basket of clothes to the door to reach up and get her down, I couldn't open the bedroom door anymore than it was, and it wasn't open enough to get by, and the basket was against the door and when I moved it the door moved a bit. Anyway it was a good rescue and after I got her down she ran into the living room and got on top of her favorite chair. Here's a quick pic Heather grabbed with her phone, so quality isn't the best. But this is her on top of the door looking for a way down
I'm not gonna post lyrics anymore just try to embed a you tube video, anyway here's rearviewmirror by Pearl Jam, it was on my list yesterday. I'm not sure if the video will embed but I'm gonna try it anyways
So, I'm punishing myself for my neglect of Thursday Thirteen so I'm doing a Friday Fourteen. I was going to take a cue from my mother and do my favorite things about my favorite season (autumn), but since it was 88 and humid the past few days I don't feel very autumny so instead I'll take the easy way out....here's fourteen of what I believe to be some of the greatest songs of all time (well 14 of my favs that i can listen to over and over)
1. Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles - Probably my 2nd favorite Beatles song of all time
2. Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles- This is my favorite Beatles song of all time
3. Losing My Religion by R.E.M - May actually be my favorite song ever, whatever I'm doing must come to an end when this song comes on, I won't talk thru it either
4. Time after Time by Cindi Lauper- I know a strange choice, but this is just a pure classic it's been covered about 100 times but none is as good as the original
5. I Got Shit by Pearl Jam- My fav Pearl Jam song ever, the piercing guitar riff in this song is just amazing
6. All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix- Classics like this live forever
7. One by U2 - another song like losing my religion where ya just gotta stop and listen
8. Whipping Post by Allman Brothers Band- One of the reasons I love Pearl Jam is cuz I like songs with lots of emotion, tons of it here
9. Superstitious by Stevie Wonder- I dare anyone to not bop their head to this one
10. Rock N' Roll by Led Zeppelin- This is great after a hard day and you're just looking for an excuse to put the petal to the metal
11. In the Air Tonite by Phil Collins- Not sure why I'm so attached to this song, maybe it's just all the feeling in it
12. Lighter Shade of Pale by Procol Harem- I hear this all the time in stores, and on the classic rock channel and can't get enough of it
13. House of the Rising Sun by the Animals- 'there is...a house..in New Orleans, they call the rising sun'
14. rearviewmirror by Pearl Jam - As the lyrics of this song go by you just imagine the scene of an abused person leaving a bad situation and when the ending guitar comes screaming in and Edddie says "i gather speed, from you fucking with me" if you follow this song really good and give it full attention you'll get goosebumps at that ending.
So there ya go 14 greatest songs ever, i recommend you listen to each one
Is it me or is this week going by really, really quickly, I can't believe it's wed. night already. I've been fairly busy at work lately so maybe that has something to do with it, maybe time is just passing quickly because heather's pregnant and I swear it seems like she's due next week time is going so fast. Alyssa's doing good in school, she was showing us her rhyming words tonight that she's been learning, altho she already learned to rhyme when she was in preschool. Not much else going on, pretty boring week nothing really happening out of the ordinary around here. Well that's all, see nothing going on, i'll do a thursday thirteen tomarrow.
