Life of Bryan

 Happy Birthday to Alyssa!!!!

Today is Alyssa's 6th birthday. Hard to believe she is six years old already. Lets go back a bit to 2001 when we first learned of the coming child. About two months after 9/11 Heather told me that she was pregnant, I was a little shocked to say the least, but we were both happy. That was all that mattered at the time and even tho we were engaged we decided not to get married before the baby came. I still think it was one of the best decisions we made.

So fast forward a few months and we are anxiously waiting for July 12th (which was her original due date), we had a name picked out Victoria Michelle (but we were gonna call her Torrie), in the event it was a boy we had Hunter Matthew, or just Matthew, i think (strangely enough we used neither when we finally had a boy). Anyway we found out it was a girl and began using the name Torrie whenever referring to the child in utero, I don't remember when but not long after her name was changed to Alyssa Nichol.

It was getting to be early July and little Alyssa had made no progress in wanting to come out, she still hadn't dropped and was due in twelve days. I still remember installing Lady Foot Locker in Westfarms with my brother and getting the call from Heather who was seeing the OB and wanted to know what day would be best to be induced. We chose Wednesday, July 10th.

After checking in to the hospital at 6:30 in the morning and spending the whole day watching TV, walking the maternity ward and going down the hall to Dunkin about ten times at 11:08 pm we finally had a child!

So now six years later we have a young lady (who could beat up half the boys in her class) So, in a nutshell that's the story of Alyssa

 do you want to laugh?

You've got to see this. This comedian/ventriloquist Jeff Dunham and his puppet Ahkmed the dead terrorist, I swear you will love this. When the video ends look for a 'Walter' video when the related one's scroll at the bottom, that is a funny as hell vid too.

In other great news.........here's the 1-2 pitch to Bobby Abreu.....swung on..hit to deep right..jeter rounds 3rd.......he's heading home.....SAFE! Bobby Abreu with an RBI double in the bottom of the 10th THE YANKEES WIN, THEEEEEEE YANKEES WIN!
Four straight wins now for NY two against Boston (haha) and two against the Rays (who amazingly have the best record in MLB)

Oh and of course not to forget tomorrow is Alyssa's 6th birthday! I'll be doing a special post for that tomorrow tho.

 4th of July

In honor of 4th of July I found a game to help ease that travel stress! Tired of paying $4.35 for a gallon of gas? Well stick it to Georgie Boy in this game, it takes a minute to load but it's tons of fun, I like to use the grenades. It does make you feel better after a while, give it a try

 VP Clark??

I would love to see Wesley Clark as the VP to Mr.Obama, here's a clip of the General talking about how McCain doesn't have the experience that he claims to have. The lady here doesn't understand what Gen. Clark is trying to say, Obama is not claiming to have experience but McCain is, being a POW is NOT a qualification to be President. And I for one am tired of the GOP using scare tactics to make people vote for McCain. We will be no safer with McCain in office than we would with Obama. Anyway, here's the clip

 Pop.....fizz........blink

It's a sad day here at Life of Bryan, a good friend has passed on suddenly.

I woke every morning and looked forward to seeing him, he told me the weather, told me sports scores and brought me tons of entertainment.
Some days when I was sick and stayed home from work, he was my best friend, always keeping me company and never turning away. When he had nothing of interest to talk about or show me I'd get frustrated and yell, even tho I knew it wasn't his fault. He was a baby sitter when we needed a break, he helped us enjoy movies and specials and now he's gone...forever.

I'd like to say goodbye to the living room television, what we shared over the past years will never be forgotten and I know right now somewhere up in t.v. heaven he's thinking of me too.

wish you were here- Pink Floyd
