Life of Bryan

 Father's Day

Today is father's day, and being a father myself and having a father I'm going to put up a post for it, so there. For mother's day I did a salute to all the worst mother's out there (with Barbara Bush as the worst mother ever) and I was thinking how am I going to celebrate father's day over here at Life of Bryan? The answer is...I don't know. I'm just going to say Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there including mine, and happy father's day to me! The following people I do not wish a happy father's day too, in fact I wish you never had kids.

George Herbert Walker Bush

That's all.

Also, everyone knows my favorite band of all time is Pearl Jam so I had to find a way to squeeze them into father's day altho this is going to be a bit depressing. Eddie Vedder the singer in the band never knew his real father, he was told his step father was his real dad, and his father was known as a family friend. He was not told who his real dad was until after he died, he wrote only one song dedicated to the man he never knew, so as a salute to all of the lost father's out there I'm posting a great video of the song "release" by Pearl Jam, if you listen to the words carefully it's probably to most moving song they have ever written. Some great lines are "I'll wait up in the dark, for you to speak to me, I'm holding on...release me" and "I am myself...like you somehow" So to anyone out there who's lost their father this is for you.

And to everyone else Happy Father's Day!

and just remember most of the Father's lost over the past 4 years were because of George Bush, so thank you asshole, you truly are a piece of shit. So for you I post this....the last line is the greatest. 'and I'll stand on your grave till I'm sure that you're dead'. Burn in hell Bush.

Masters of War (covered by Pearl Jam)

 Sad day for Giants fans

The greatest Defensive End in the history of the New York Giants retired after 15 amazing seasons. Micheal Strahan wasn't one of these first round draft choices who was expected to be a future Hall of Famer. He didn't win a Heisman Trophy or get a huge signing bonus, or appear in commercials before he even took the field (ahem...Reggie Bush), he worked hard and in his last 7 or 8 years in the league became a dominant force.
I was looking on youtube for a good tribute to the future first ballot Hall of Famer (the first one since LT) but instead found something I know all Giants fans would love....some vids of Tom Brady getting the crap kicked out of him in Super Bowl 42.

first here's a clip to make you hate Brady, he talking about Plaxico Burress who caught the winning TD for the Giants, Plax said the Giants would win 24-17, Brady laughed about how his offense is much better than that.....they scored only 14 in the loss

Now here is his getting his punishment from NY haha

 Heat and the snaggletooth

Summer has finally hit southern New England! We are expected to have a nice little four day heat wave of high nineties and high humidity. Of course in usual summer style it should all end with a good thunderstorm. I love thunderstorms, I wished we lived in a more open area where I can see the lightning better (altho I do live near a beach). The best storm I ever saw was in Washington D.C., we were at the Washington monument and this storm just rolled over the city. From the hill we were on it seemed like we were above the black clouds and seeing Washington slowly go dark then watching the clouds come towards us was awesome. So after work yesterday I went to the first floor and second and put in air conditioners. I didn't have to add any to our cuz the one in the living room is so big it never comes out and the one in Alyssa's room was still also in cuz.... well I don't know why. Eventually I'll have to put the one for our room in, but the for the apt is a cool 70 degrees, better than the 93 outside.

So in other good news, not having dental insurance or a dentist for that matter for so long has finally caught up to me. Last night while eating steak of all things one of my molars broke. Not a big piece but enough to create a jagged edge in my mouth, the whole top in still there but a angular piece from the top to the bottom is what came off, just great. So now I'm afraid to chew anything on that side fearing that more of it will break or something will get caught bad in there. I do grind my teeth at night so I'm sure that has something to do with it, hopefully by the end of the week I'll have it taken care of. My father has broken a few molars and has a plate now, I'm hoping they can just patch it up with like tooth bondo or something. So, if anyone knows a good dentist in Central Connecticut? My sister used to be a dental assistant, hmmm I wonder if she can fix it, lol. I have a few dental issues so I see how much all that will cost me, my wisdom teeth on top need to come out, and I have an extra canine tooth on the top left that I've always wanted gone.

I finished reading "Blaze" by Stephen King earlier in the week, it was really good, not a horror book but very good, the ending really stuck with me tho. I'm reading "Darkfall" now by Koontz, it kinda reminds me of "Phantoms" which is also by him, a bunch of mysterious, gruesome killings done by some monster. This one is even weirder, a Haitian voodoo priest who wants to rule the NYC drug scene so he uses these black magic induced demons to kill off the family that's running the business now. Well, I gotta go get Alyssa's pool up so I'll cut this off now, later.
